On-line application for eVISA

Eligible application may also opt to apply for electronic visa (eVISA) which is available online through portal www.malaysiavisa.imi.gov.my subject to the terms and conditions as required. eVISA is a web-based visa application portal that offers applicants with a quick, convenient and secure way to apply for Malaysian visa.

Who is eligible to apply eVISA?

Bangladeshi passport holders are eligible to apply for eVISA. However, first time travelers from Bangladesh are not eligible to apply for eVISA, and may only apply for a normal visa (Sticker visa). eVISA applicants need to upload their previous Malaysian visa as part of the requirement for the application. Currently eVISA is only available Dhaka-Kuala Lumpur- Dhaka journey only.

Validity of eVISA

An eVISA holder is entitled to stay at maximum of 30 days for each visit. Each application can only be used once. No extension is allowed.

Documents Required

Below are the documents that need to be scanned and uploaded with your application.

1. Tourist

- Recent passport sized studio photo;

- Photocopy of passport (bio data page and personal data page);

- Confirmed return flight ticket;

- Birth certificate (for minor applicants);

- Recent 6 months bank statement with a letter of solvency; and

- Previous Malaysian visa with Entry/Exit stamping.

2. Students & Expatriates (Visa with Reference)

- Visa Approval Letter (Eval); and

- Photocopy of passport (bio-data page and personal data page).

3. Medical

- Recent passport sized studio photo;

- Photocopy of passport (bio data page and personal data page);

- Appointment letter from healthcare providers that are registered with Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC) only; and

- Recent three (3) months bank statement.

Processing Time

eVISA application will be processed within 48 hours during working days upon receipt of online application. However, the processing may take longer if further checking or verification is required.

Print your eVISA

You are advised to be alert with any email notifications from us, as the means of communication will be through email. Upon approval, you van print your eVISA at the comfort of your home or office.

Travel to Malaysia

The following documents are required to be presented upon arrival in Malaysia entry checkpoints:

1) Your eVISA printout.

2) Sufficient funds (Cash/ Travellers Cheque/Debit or Credit Cards) to cover expenses during your stay at Malaysia.

3) confirmed Returned flight ticket.

4) Proof of accommodation.
